Week 9/12 to 9/16 (Week 2)

This week we will:

• Review Pinyin alphabets, class commands, 4 tones and neutral tones
• Learn Pinyin components and 3 rules of tone mark placements
• China Introduction
• Learn about pictographic characters
• Learn your Chinese name

Homework:
-Class supplies due this Wednesday (9/14): Bring everything to class to show Meng Laoshi
-Listen to 4 tones and neutral tone and practice with audio (see post above) for Wednesday
-Quiz on class commands on Friday (9/16). Must be able to understand, spell in Pinyin with correct tone marks. (Remember, if the tone mark is wrong, the whole thing is wrong!)
-Character sheet for your Chinese name due next Monday (9/19)
